Remembrance of Things Past

Mostly about growing up the 1950s in Ilford, Essex.

International

Please note that I will keep absolutely to British English, which is often not the same as American English. I will try to point differences out when they occur. American automobiles use gasoline where our cars use petrol. Both are measured in gallons but these are not the same volume!

Most views come from the UK, with the USA, New Zealand, Australia and Canada also quite popular visitors. I have had occasional views from over sixty countries throughout the World!

I hope I haven’t lost followers by being English! Readers abroad should also understand that I may say Britain, Great Britain or the UK, which are more or less the same thing, or I may sometimes say England, which is where I live.
